I'm working on a story about a man who turns into a stuffed bear. I was just doodling some roughs to get the idea for the bear's shape, but I'll have to design the man's character in human form before I can nail down a look. More to come later!

Oh and if you're in Calgary tomorrow there's a Bravo screening showcasing some animated shorts that I helped contribute to.

Year End Experiments

Just a couple of little sketchy things. I hadn't painted in a very long time and I keep wanting to take it up again. I think I'm going to try some oils as well over the next little bit. I'm a bit of a confused artist right now and I'm playing with a little bit of everything just to keep things rolling.

The Seamstress

I've been working on this image for a little while and I wanted to finish it before posting anything new to the blog. Sorry it's been a little while.

Overall I'm happy with the image. It was just a fun little piece for myself.

Monty Likes Apples

A character design based off of the adorable Red Panda at the Calgary Zoo who came down out of his house to eat an apple core. He doesn't like apple sauce.

Here's something I was working on to get me into the Halloween spirit. I don't know if it'll be done by Halloween but here's a peek for the occasion (just in case it's not). Plus a sketch from work staring Mr. Wrinkles the cat.

The last and probably the better of the three sculptures. It was a fun project!

Hopefully I do some more sculptures before Christmas. I have some neat ideas for some fat and rosy cheeked Christmas elves. I might attempt to had make some of the outfits as well. We'll see how it goes though!

Nightmares

An illustration based on the theme nightmares. I guess my biggest reoccurring nightmare isn't a nightmare at all, it's sleep paralysis. While researching ideas for this project I had sleep paralysis four time in a row one night trying to get to sleep. I was almost to afraid to go back to sleep. If you have episodes like this more than once a night always remember to turn over on your side. It prevents it from happening!

The Worm and the Caterpillar
