This previous week I did a bit of work for Swerve Magazine about the smells of Calgary. It was a little challenging to come up with some different ideas to communicate smell through illustration but I think it turned out to be a pretty successful project!

I've been away globe trotting to Barcelona and Lisbon, which was fantastic! I was able to see some beautiful beaches and castles. There is nothing more inspiring than eating great food and seeing beautiful places! Hopefully I'll do something based on the sites I saw! In the meantime... here is a project I did a few months ago for Nelson Canada for an education booklet.

Christmas Designs - Round 1!

So one of the creative jobs that I do is create designs for props! I love it. Recently I was able to contribute two different designs for a Christmas display pitch for a mall in Vancouver, BC with Studio Y Creations. Unfortunately we came out the runner up in the race but now I have the chance to show you some of the lovely designs created during the pitch process.

Here is round one of design work. It focused on the lush rainforest of British Columbia. Included here are early concept drawings, and come colour ideas. All content in the post is copyright Studio Y Creations.
